Come through and dance away 2017. Amen.
Hailing from the cityscapes of Seattle, recording artist Yungg Trip hit the ground running in 2014 with the release of his debut single “Murdera“, and has since established himself as a prominent multi-genre artist who has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Known for his insatiable drive and musical versatility, Yungg Trip’s talent is multifaceted, as demonstrated by his command of a seamless blend of EDM styles, from Future Dancehall and Future Bass to Trap and Moombahton. No stranger to the worlds of reggae and dancehall, he is already known and respected by many as one-third of Blessed Coast Sound, with whom he has been blazing up dances and festivals and supporting some of the industry’s greats for the past 10 years. Quickly becoming an in-demand staple among his peers, especially after his debut track “Murdera” was featured on the scorchingly popular BBC Radio 1 show ‘Diplo and Friends’, Yungg Trip continues to receive support from radio and club DJ’s worldwide. His releases have been consistently charting on electronic music platform Beatport, and his production prowess has gained a great deal of attention on both SoundCloud and Spotify. In 2015 he co-founded ‘Flex Up Crew’, both a global collective of music producers and a record label that has proven to be an unstoppable force in the exciting world of Future Dancehall. Relentlessly creative, Yungg Trip has had a huge year of releases in 2017, including singles “Boom Boom” (feat. Richie Loop), and “Pour Up” (feat. Bobby Hustle and Worm of Bass Odyssey Sound System), as well as the “More Badder Mixtape”, the “Break Barriers EP Vol. 2”, and most recently the “Boom Boom Remix EP”, curated from a slew of entries submitted to a remix competition. All this builds on the momentum of his popular 2016 release “Break Barriers EP Vol. 1”, as well as 2015’s genre-bending singles “Bushmasta” and “Icecream.” The rising artist has also begun to make his mark in the live performance arena, having performed in every major city on the West Coast of the USA, as well as gracing the stage at major events such as Northern Nights Music Festival in California (Main Stage 2016, River Stage 2017) and at the first “Flex Up LA” party with other Flex Up Crew members Walshy Fire (of Major Lazer), Kalibandulu (Italy), Silva, and Two Sevens Clash among many others. He was also a feature guest artist onBrasil’s Tropkillaz July 2017 visit to the USA.Currently working on his anticipated release “Break Barriers Vol. 3“, as well as collaborations and remixes with a variety of other artists and producers, Yungg Trip will be taking his formidable sound on the road in 2018, touring with fellow Flex Up Crew members.

Afrolicious is bringing in the New Year with their entire live band to Rickshaw Stop in SF on Sunday, December 31st.
The live/electronic collective based in the San Francisco Bay Area started out not as a band but as a club night at the famed Elbo Room in The Mission District in 2007. The format of Afrolicious party was very open and included the DJs spinning the latest soulful dance music including Afro-House, broken beat, modern funk and disco alongside classics and re-edits and remixes of their favorite Afrobeat, Salsa, and Brazilian funk alongside live percussionists and guest MCs and musicians. Eventually morphing into a live band led by the production and arrangement skills of Pleasuremaker, many dancers, DJs and producers began to take notice of their unique sound.
After releasing their latest full-length record and a year of touring the country, including playing some of the biggest festivals around the band is hot and ready to play an extended set for its hometown fans.

As we all know The Caribbean islands including St. Maarten, Haiti, St. Barts, and The Dominican Republic, were recently devastated by Hurricane Irma. Irma has wrought devastation on the island nations, killing people, ripping off rooftops, destroying homes and businesses, shutting down electrical grids and sending rivers of debris flowing through streets. Here in San Francisco, we’re all very blessed to live in such a beautiful city and to call this welcoming community our home.
With that in mind, we’d like to pay it forward in any way we can. So, Dec 22nd The Great Northern and Common Ground will be coming together to throw one hell of a party with all proceeds to benefit the wonderful people of the Caribbean Islands. So come party with a purpose with us and give back to communities less fortunate than our own.

Charles Feelgood ~
His rise to dance music infamy dates back to his humble beginnings as a leading force behind the Baltimore/Washington DC dance music scene. Alongside his partner and fellow DJ Scott Henry, Feelgood launched “Fever”, which for nearly a decade become one of the most sought after events for touring DJs from around the world. It was the days after starting Fever that Feelgood enhanced his reputation amongst those in the international dance community. He parlayed his danceable brand of House music up and down the East Coast and became renown for his creative ability to incorporate his love of 80’s music with a variety of different House styles into his sets. In the years that have followed, he has taken his talents to all ends of the earth – from North and South America to Russia and Asia, and everywhere in between. He appeared at such seminal events as Coachella, and Lollapalooza, and has become a welcome fixture with many of the largest production companies in the US and abroad.
His initial popularity was assisted thanks in part to his legendary mixed series, “Time to Get Ill” and has continued to flourish through the release of remixes and singles such as “Jacker’s Anthem,” “My Life” and “Watchu Gonna Do”. He is a mainstay in the charts on BeatPort and Traxsource as well as other worldwide digital sites. In the past few years Feelgood has had several releases on Major and Independent labels such as, Instereo, Guesthouse, Fogbank and Ammo Recordings – with a breakout track called “Bebop” that stayed in the Beatport and Traxsource charts for most of the 2014 year! Feelgood remains committed to lighting up dance floors around the world – summing up his musical mission in one sentence: “I just want to do what the name implies, to make people have a good time and go home with a great feeling”.
Fueled by an enigmatic mystique, DJ Jenö has remained one of San Francisco’s most beloved and sought after DJs for over two decades. Developing a passionate love for music from an early age he spent several years as a punk musician & songwriter, before discovering djing and falling into the vibrant London warehouse party scene of the mid 80s. Once Acid House fever hit the UK, Jenö never looked back, becoming known for his heady Whoosh parties, and his involvement in the early days of the notorious Tonka Sound System.
In 1995, he and the Wicked Crew took things to the next level, importing a custom made Tony Andrews designed Turbosound system from the UK. With Wicked very much in demand there was nothing else to do but hit the road, piling into a beautifully restored 1947 Grayhound bus with their own band of merry pranksters, delivering their soulful psychedelic sounds with a rock’n’roll attitude that took the U.S by storm. The touring continued through the late 90s, including some unforgettable stops at Burning Man, Reggae on the River, and even a Jane’s Addiction concert in 2001.
Jenö’s mythical mixing talents have translated far and wide with a diverse international cult following. He has demonstrated these talents on the decks in the premier clubs across the globe, including the legendary Twilo in NYC, The End, Fabric & Ministry of Sound in London, Unit in Tokyo and the Rex Club in Paris. Jenö continues to perform & present music with a unique and psychedelic perspective, djing regularly again across the US, as well as hosting his own musically mischievous cult radio show – Noise from the Void, on http://mixlr.com/jenovoid/
